Mr. Dobson
has one year of full time experience in water and sewer
system design and modeling. His work experience with DBS and
Associates includes surveying, municipal design and
planning, and traffic study analysis. His experience
includes using Microstation and Geopak design software and
WaterCAD modeling software.
Prior to working for DBS and Associates, Mr. Dobson worked
in construction. His experience included site layout,
excavation, concrete forming and rebar placement, and
concrete placement and finishing. This experience will aid
Mr. Dobson in his current role assistant Project Manager. He
has an insight into the constructability of a Project and
will work to alleviate potential problems before they occur.
The following summaries demonstrate his experience with
related projects:
Hemlock
Semiconductor LLC Sewer
Clarksville, TN 2009
Project designer for the Hemlock Semiconductor LLC Sewer
Project located in the Megasite Industrial Park. Extensive
project including 1.1 MGD submersible lift station,
approximately 17955 L.F. gravity sewer, approximately 30085
L.F. force main, water and gas line service to the lift
station site, and associated grading and erosion control
measures. This project involved the study of the existing
conditions and capacities, future sewage flows due to
growth, and recommendations for future upgrades and designs.
Assisted in the planning and plans preparation of the
project route and easement acquisition.
Governor’s Square Lift
Station Replacement
Clarksville, TN 2008
Project designer for the Governor’s Square Lift Station
Replacement near Governor’s Square Mall. Project consisted
of new wet well with 2 submersible sewage pumps, and a new
force main tying into a existing sewer system. Assisted in
the design and analysis of the lift station and all
associated appurtenances. Performed various calculations
involved in the analysis of the pumping station and was
involved with the specifications and design report for the
project.
Moore Day Care Traffic Assessment
Clarksville, TN
Assisted in the analysis of the potential traffic impacts
that would occur with the proposed rezoning and development
of a portion of a parcel on Rossview Road. Completed trip
generation calculations of various land uses to analyze the
amount of traffic that can be generated in the proposed
rezoning.
Oak Street Lift Station Relocation
Clarksville, TN
Project designer for the Oak Street Lift Station Relocation
in a suburban area. Project consisted of new wet well with
submersible pumps, approx 400 L.F. gravity sewer, approx 180
L.F. sewer force main, emergency diesel powered pump, and
paved access drive to site location. Performed various
calculations involved in the analysis of the lift station.
Designed site layout and grading and erosion control plans,
and was involved with the specifications and contract
documents for the project.
Callis Hills Apartments
Clarksville, TN
Utilized Watercad to model and evaluate the proposed water
system for the Callis Hills Apartments complex. Used steady
state and fire flow analysis to review the domestic and fire
demand effects on the proposed system.
