As President/CEO of DBS & Associates
Engineering, Mr. Smith manages the largest consulting firm in
Clarksville with over forty employees including licensed
Engineers, Surveyors and other trained professionals. He
provides technical assistance, project administration,
constructability, authorship and quality assurance of the firm’s
projects.
Prior to establishing DBS & Associates in 1988, Mr. Smith was
Vice President and General Manager for CES Engineering, Inc and
was Project Engineer for Miller-Wihry-Lee Engineers and
Landscape Architects.
Mr. Smith has 26 years of experience in civil engineering. His
experience includes engineering consulting, conceptual planning,
infrastructure improvements, site planning and design, site
grading design, site utility design, land use planning,
residential planning and design, transportation planning and
design, transportation and traffic studies, stormwater
management studies, stormwater planning and design, NPDES
permitting, NPDES stormwater quality planning and design, NPDES
erosion control planning and design, wetlands permitting and
study, forensic engineering, boundary and topographic surveying,
title surveying, as-built surveys and construction staking.
Mr. Smith has an insight into planning for the future needs of a
growing community.
