Mr.
Grissom was hired in April 1989 and has grown through
several stages of design at DBS & Associates, Inc. His early
experience includes collecting field data, using C&G
software in combination with Autocadd then Terramodel design
software to complete mortgage surveys, boundary, and
topographic surveys. Later he worked on residential and
commercial designs and finally TDOT projects. In the fall of
1998 he was named Operations Manager due to his broad
working knowledge of the company and from that day until now
has managed all IT operations.
The following paragraphs demonstrate some of Mr. Grissom’s
experience at DBS & Associates.
1989-1991
Collected field data and hand
drafted for various projects ranging from residential design
to commercial developments. Implemented company’s first
complete cadd design project. Converted all systems from an
individual PC to network environment.
1992-1995
Designed projects at Fort Campbell, KY. Performed road
design, grading, drainage, erosion control, and utility
design on approximately 45 lot housing at Ft. Campbell.
Started working on TDOT projects SR-374 and SR-13. Continued
to broaden network capacity of the company.
1996-1998
Continued with TDOT projects, worked directly with state
officials on several projects. Submitted applicable
documation for approval process. Continued to update and
implement new PC’s, servers, routers, and network segments.
1999-Present
Continue with day to day operations such as data
backups, archive projects and catalog drawings. Develop new
systems, install and upgrade software, troubleshoot
equipment, maintain desktop PC’s , Servers and network.
