Mr. Morris joined the DBS & Associates staff in
late 2006. He brings with him over 20 years experience in Civil
Engineering, project management, construction management, cost
estimating, and schedule preparation for commercial, city, state
and federal government projects and facilities.
Prior to working with DBS and Associates, Mr.
Morris was a Project Manager directly responsible for managing
highway design projects, training subordinate employees in
traffic design, and developing construction cost estimates and
proposals.

Hemlock Semiconductor, LLC Rail
Spur
Clarksville, TN, 2009
Transportation Designer for survey
and design of 4.33 miles of new railroad track to serve Hemlock
Semiconductor, LLC production facility in the Montgomery County
Commerce Park Megasite. Rail spur was designed according to the
requirements of RJ Corman Railroad and AREMA standards. Design
included two at-grade rail crossings with signalization and
signing on existing State Route 13 (U.S. 79) and Jim Johnson
Road, siding track, rail yard, seven switches, security access
road, storm drainage and erosion control protection.
Dunlop Lane
Clarksville, TN, 2008
Transportation Designer for survey and design of
the improvements and signalization of 0.71 miles of urban
arterial roadway. Design portion of project consisted of
upgrading roadway to include four 12-foot lanes and raised
median, 12-foot shoulders with 4.5-foot bikeway, grass utility
strips, and sidewalks. Project required lighting and landscape
plans, and signalization of Ted Crozier Boulevard – Dunlop Lane
intersection and Gateway Medical Center entrance.
Sanderson
Pipe Rail Spur
Clarksville, TN, 2007
Transportation Designer for survey and design of
a 4,770-foot section of new rail spur to serve Sanderson Pipe
Corporation production facility in the Montgomery County
Industrial Park. Rail spur was designed according to the
requirements of RJ Corman Railroad and AREMA standards. Design
included three at-grade rail crossings with signalization and
signing on existing International Boulevard, three switches,
storm drainage and erosion protection.

The Woodlands Family Housing, ACTUS Lend Lease
Fort Campbell, KY, 2007
Site Civil Designer for a 240-unit family housing
development at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Design elements
included horizontal and vertical alignment of site access roads,
site grading and drainage, utilities, erosion protection, and
landscaping.
State Route 112, Davidson County
Tennessee Department of Transportation
Transportation
Designer for the design of 2.5 miles of urban arterial roadway.
Project consisted of widening existing two-lane roadway to
include four 12-foot traffic lanes, a continuous median left
turn lane, and 4-foot shoulders. Design included preliminary
and right-of-way plans. Design based upon context sensitive
design criteria.
